Education ministry in Gaza said that almost 50% of the victims of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, 333 so far, are children and school students.
It said in a statement on Saturday that a preliminary statistical report indicated that hundreds of the 2385 wounded Palestinians were also children and school students some of whom suffer serious injuries.
The ministry said that most of the half million students in the Gaza have been traumatized due to the savage Israeli military campaign that included horrific scenes of relatives and neighbors being massacred in front of their own eyes.
It pointed out that around one hundreds schools were damaged along with kindergartens and higher education institutions due to the repeated Israeli shelling.
The ministry called on the countries supporting Israel, mainly the USA, to stop their military, economic, and political backing or else they would be considered as accomplices in Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
The ministry asked the world community, the UN, and all concerned international institutions such as UNICEF and UNESCO to play a role in curbing the Israeli aggression and to put Israeli political and military leaders on trial at international courts.
